Need to know if your attrition rate is healthy?

Often turnover is seen as something to avoid, but not all turnover is actually bad for the organisation. The attrition analytics in your platform will allow you to identify key trends and determine the most common reasons for turnover.

The article below provides an example of how this analytics page can help you gain insight on your organisation's attrition and be able to create and implement proactive strategies to retain top talent.

Reporting on Attrition

To quickly generate a report when asked to provide information on the key reasons why part-time employees with a tenure of two years or less voluntarily leave:

1. Navigate to Analytics >> Attrition Analysis

2. This will automatically generate a report displaying the attrition analytics for the last twelve months (check out Attrition in Analytics to learn more about how this page works).

3. This page will allow you to review your organisation's attrition rates and drill down using filters.

4. Now that we have applied the relevant filters, we can begin to develop proactive strategies to minimise voluntary turnover for employees.

Drilling into the Data

To illustrate the specific information that you wish to highlight in your reports, this analytics page will allow you to:

• Review the data at a specific point in time.
• Filter the data on specific attributes.
• Convert the (filtered) charts to images that can be inserted into wider board reports.

To review the attrition rates at a specific point in time, whether that be in the past or a predicted future state, simply:

1. Amend the date in the top right of the page.

2. Alternatively, you can click on Chart Settings in the top right  and amend the data settings to review the predicted future attrition rates based on your current data. Click on Enable Look Ahead and select the number of months that you would like to look ahead (i.e. 6 months into the future).

3. To filter the data on specific attributes simply click on the charts to dynamically filter on the options.

4. To convert the filtered charts to images click on the Convert Icon  and insert this image into your wider report that will be presented to the board. 

Tip:  Filter by Turnover Type: Voluntary to identify the key reasons why employees have willingly left the business.
