Global notifications allow you to set up platform notifications and summary emails for events that occur within your intelliHR platform, making it easy to ensure that all the right people are across changes that take place. Some examples of these events include Upcoming New Starter and Personal Details changing. Once set up, users will be able to see the in-platform notification within the bell icon on the top right corner of their platform.

How to set up Global Notifications
1. Navigate to the Notifications Icon () on the top right corner of your platform.
2. Click on Create Global Notification >> Select an Event Type
3. Complete the additional options to configure the type of notifications that will set the notifications (i.e. Person attribute, Upcoming Notification Period).
4. Select the targets that will receive the notifications, configure the settings and Notification Method
Targets
- Send notification to the affected employee - Affected subject will receive in-platform notifications
- Send notification to the affected employee's supervisor - Affected subject employee’s supervisor will receive in-platform notifications
- Send notification to specific people - Specific people added here will receive the in-platform notification. Only users with a user account can be selected here
- Send notification to specific email addresses - Specific email addresses added here will receive the Summary Email (Note: adding this as a target will switch the summary email notification on, which will also be sent to any of the selected targets).
Settings
- Filter out notifications for the user who actioned the event - By default, this is selected. People who applied the change will not be notified if they are any of the above targets.
- Filter out notifications from Bulk Data Imports - By default this is selected. Any changes applied by the bulk import tool are filtered from the notifications or summaries emails (Note: ensure that this is configured properly to ensure that the target(s) does not get bulk notifications unless it is intended).
Notification Method
- Send an in-platform Notification - This will always be configured, sending the in-platform notifications to the targets selected above.
- Send a Daily Summary Email - This will send a daily summary email to all targets selected at 9 AM daily (based on the platform's selected timezone) if any updates. Turning this on will also allow you to add a ‘Call to Action’ which will be a message added to the summary email.
- Send a Monthly Summary Email (Coming Soon).
5. Once you have configured your notifications and are ready to enable them. Click on Options >> Enable Notifications Globally
6. A pop up with confirmation will appear >> Click on Confirm. You can enable each notification from the main configuration page.
How will I know I have unread notifications?
When a user is logged into intelliHR they will be made aware of any new notification by a red dot on the bell icon in the top-right of their screen.
Unread notifications will appear in purple while your previously read notifications will appear in white.
Notifications can also be marked as Read/Unread and Deleted from this area.
Types of events available within the global notifications
- Company Start Date Upcoming - Triggered when a job's company start date is upcoming in the system.
- Person Birthday - Triggered when an employee has a birthday. This will not be triggered for past staff. This will still send for people who do not have a job yet.
