Ento: Native Integration ('Add-on')

Founded in Australia in 2009, Ento is a powerful workforce management solution that allows shift-based workforces to manage rostering, time & attendance, leave, and onboarding from one centralised platform. Ento has built an integration/add-on that is native to its platform (free of cost to begin using) and accessible for any users of both Ento and intelliHR.

What will the integration do?

✅ When switched on, the add-on will hook directly into intelliHR and automatically send through current staff that have an active primary job from intelliHR to Ento.

✅ The integration gives you the ability to use intelliHR as a core HR and performance management source of truth, with Ento automatically pulling in active staff (both in real-time and overnight) that are on a primary job – ready to be rostered.

✅ Ento will also keep an eye out for any updates you make to your staff in intelliHR so that you eliminate double-handling of information.

Connection & Data Mapping

The intelliHR integration can be added to your Ento platform by navigating to Add-Ons > intelliHR.

 

General details, employee mapping, job mapping and custom fields mapping options are set within the add-on edit screen in the Ento platform:

1. General Details

Ento Set Up Field	Input
URL	https://api.intellihr.io
API Key	Once you've logged into intelliHR, go to the Settings // Public API Access Keys section.  Click 'Create Access Key'.  Make sure to copy the API key once it's been created and store the key somewhere secure for future reference.
Tenant	The first component of the URL that you use to access intelliHR. E.g. yourtenant in https://yourtenant.intellihr.net
Method of interaction	Realtime AND On Schedule: Staff will sync based on create / update / delete events in intelliHR and also once overnight. Importantly for the first sync: If On Schedule is also selected then when the integration is turned on for the first time, all active staff with current jobs in intelliHR will automatically flow into Ento overnight.  Realtime: Staff will only sync to Ento when created, updated or deleted in realtime.  Scheduled: Staff will only sync to Ento overnight (i.e. once every 24 hours).

2. Employee Mapping

Select which intelliHR values to store in the below Ento fields. Choices are generally straightforward, however you can choose to store intelliHR custom fields in these Ento fields if required.

3. Jobs Mapping

Select which intelliHR values to store in the below Ento fields. Choices are generally straightforward, however you can choose to store intelliHR custom fields in those Ento objects if required.

Active Status	Employee Status (Upcoming, Current, Past or Exiting Staff)
Base Rate	Base Hourly Rate
Pay Schedule	Pay Cycle
Weekly Ordinary Hours	Hours Per Cycle

 

4. Custom fields Mapping

Custom fields will first need to be created in intelliHR via Settings > Custom fields. For more help creating custom fields in intelliHR, click here. Once added and the add-on is saved for the first time, the custom fields will then become available for selection.
