The Audit Log is a useful way to track recent events in your platform. The types of events range from creating user data, tracking when people log in, and much more.

How to Use the Audit Log
1. Navigate to Settings >> All Settings >> Audit Log. It will look something like this:
2. There are five main sections that give you data:
- Date - The date and time that this action was performed.
- Event - What kind of function was actioned - eg. Login Succeeded, Person Created, etc.
- Data - This will outline the details of the event. You can export this as JSON script.
- Actioning User - Who was the actioning user of this event.
- Bulk Data - Was this data updated via the Bulk Data Tool.
3. The main source of information is the Data. This will directly show you what was updated/changed. Here are some examples of different event data:

4. To search for a particular event, there are two ways:
- Search Bar - This is very useful when trying to search events relating to a particular employee. Just input their employee ID and all events actioned by them as well as events about them will appear.
- Filter - You can filter your searches via Date Range and Event Type. These filters can also be combined however many times you like to get specific results.
What are the Use Cases?
Sometimes there are cases of data being modified that are either user error, or misuse of the system. This is a convenient way to audit any activity that is outside of system administrator knowledge.
Perhaps someone's supervisor got changed by accident? Or a form design was changed unknowingly. Perhaps you wish to report on how many times a particular user has logged on to the system in the last month?
There are a number of potential cases in which the audit log could elucidate the processes of your employees.
