What are Variables / Merge Fields?

Variables or Merge Fields are dynamic fields that pull across data relevant to the subject, supervisor, respondent, organisation, or the triggering event of the notification.

Note: Variables that are used for Event Notifications are NOT compatible with templates used for default email templates unrelated to events configured in event notifications and vice versa.
