Within the platform, permissions between supervisor and their direct reports control what a user can see or do on a particular employee’s profile. If an administrative person needs to perform specific actions within the platform for groups of employees that are not their direct reports they can set up permission groups and allocate them to individuals via delegated access.

Scenario for Specific Action Delegated Access
In the scenario that:
An administrative person needs to perform specific actions within the platform for groups of employees that are not their direct reports:
Example:
Tonnie Fitzergald is the OH&S Coordinator for the entire organisation. She requires access to everyone in the organisation's training, skills, medical conditions and emergency contact details.
1. Map out who needs access to which person/group of people
For the example above we need to set up 1 set of delegate access
2. What permissions are needed for this delegated access?
1. View Medical Conditions for Subordinates and Own
- people.medical_conditions.view#subordinates/#own
2. View Emergency Contacts for Subordinates and Own
- people.emergency_contact_details.view#subordinates/#own
3. Create Edit and View Training Records for Subordinates and Own
- people.training.create/edit/view#subordinates/#own
4. View and Manage Skills for Subordinates and Own
- people.skills.manage/view#subordiantes/#own
3. Set up a permission group with these permissions enabled
4. Set up Delegated Access
- Navigate to Settings >> Delegated Access
- Click Create New Delegated Access
Select the permission group we created in Step 4.
5. How will we know that delegated access is set up correctly?
- To determine that delegated access is set up correctly, we will need Tonnie to log
in and view Madee's profile. - Can they action and view all of the things we outlined above?
